21 December-the day of the solstice- is the day where we saw the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.  But some curious minds will think that what is the conjunction?  In astronomy, a conjunction occurs when any two astronomical objects (such as asteroids, moons, planets, and stars) appear to be close together in the sky, as observed from Earth If two objects have the same right ascension or the same ecliptic longitude, they are considered to be in conjunction with one another. The planets regularly appear to pass each other in the solar system, with the positions of Jupiter and Saturn being aligned in the sky about once every 20 years. But What was special in this year’s conjunction?
