  Dark matter is known  as the “missing mass,” dark matter’s existence was first inferred by Swiss American astronomer Fritz Zwicky, who in 1933 discovered that the mass of all the stars in the Coma cluster of galaxies provided only about 1 percent of the mass needed to keep the galaxies from escaping the cluster’s gravitational pull.  In this blog we will discuss 5 different pieces of evidence for the existence of the dark matter  BENDING OF LIGHT Gravitational lensing:- The amount of bending is proportional to the mass of the object that causing the bending,  Light gets bent due to the mass of the object. In this image light from the distant galaxy is lensed due to galaxy clusters, so we get lensed images here on the earth. But we are getting an extra lensed image than usual but the Amount of bending is proportional to the mass of the object, so there is evidence of missing mass, We get the factor of the Dark matter here. 21 December-the day of the solstice- is the day where we saw the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.  But some curious minds will think that what is the conjunction?  In astronomy, a conjunction occurs when any two astronomical objects (such as asteroids, moons, planets, and stars) appear to be close together in the sky, as observed from Earth If two objects have the same right ascension or the same ecliptic longitude, they are considered to be in conjunction with one another. The planets regularly appear to pass each other in the solar system, with the positions of Jupiter and Saturn being aligned in the sky about once every 20 years.   Mars is the 4th planet of our solar system and the nearest planet of Earth. 1610 was the year when Galileo Galilei discovered Mars with telescopic observation, the distance between the sun and mars is 228.19 million km. Behind the mars, there is the belt of so many Asteroids. The orbital period is 687 days which is quite more than the earth’s orbital period. Planet Mars is surrounded by so many artificial ( manmade) satellites. But mars have 2 natural satellites named Phobos and Deimos. Colonization on a different planet is also known as the Space settlement it is the political concept of space law for human habitation and the taking advantage of all-natural resources of that planet where we want to colonize.
