Is Mars Our Future Or Not?

Mars is the 4th planet of our solar system and the nearest planet of Earth. 1610 was the year when Galileo Galilei discovered Mars with telescopic observation, the distance between the sun and mars is 228.19 million km. Behind the mars, there is the belt of so many Asteroids. The orbital period is 687 days which is quite more than the earth’s orbital period. Planet Mars is surrounded by so many artificial ( manmade) satellites. But mars have 2 natural satellites named Phobos and Deimos.

Colonization on a different planet is also known as the Space settlement it is the political concept of space law for human habitation and the taking advantage of all-natural resources of that planet where we want to colonize.


Yes, we can colonize Mars but it is too difficult to survive due to some issues. 

Mars is on the boundary of the Habitable zone. A habitable zone is simply the orbit at a certain distance from the star where a planet or planetary surface can support water with sufficient pressure. 

 The researchers are trying to find whether was there pre-existing life? and a new life can form or not.

Scientists from all over the world had launched 14 satellites from 1971 till now and in which only 6 are active and operational.

On 18th Feb 2020, NASA’s Perseverance spacecraft will be land on mars for further discovery about composition and Life.

The main problem of colonization on mars is its Atmosphere and magnetic field. 

The magnetic field of the planet is interacting with the solar wind, a stream of charged particles emanating from the sun. It is also known as the geomagnetic field. 

The atmosphere of the planet is the layer of gases that wraps the planet. 

Mars doesn’t have its magnetic field, but why Mars lost its magnetic field the reason is still unknown. But the Maveen spacecraft discovered mars have an invisible magnetic tail that is twisted due to the solar wind. That’s why the solar wind directly interacts with the Atmosphere of Mars. 

Food, Clothes, Shelter are the basic needs of the normal living being, apart from that to colonize on the different planet we will mostly require is water, Atmosphere, magnetic field and some covering like Ozone layer to protect from the harmful rays of a nearby star.

Mars has a very thin atmospheric layer also mars lost its magnetic field. Why did this happen? We don’t know the answer. Due to the skinny layer of the atmosphere, the harmful layer from the sun always bothers the planet with dangerous radiations.

On mars, it’s very cold so to get the planet well warmed. We have to create a global warming kind of thing to produce greenhouse gases. 

Elon Musk said that “ Nuke Mars “means bombing on the poles of Mars to produce carbon dioxide so that wealthy conditions will produce on Mars.

We can do everything to get settled. 

Everyone says that Earth will extinct after 100 years, we all will die. Yes, it’s true “Population and Pollution” are 2Ps to be get controlled in next some years so that our next generation will survive easily.

We need space settlement if we can’t get control over the increasing population and pollution. 

One idea is to colonize Mars and another idea is to Make Earth great again!

Omuamua -The Interstellar Object
